CHRISTOPH HUBER

Born in 1977 in Riedenburg, the pearl of the Altmühltal, Christoph started playing drums in a punk band at the age of 13. Gradually, he shuffled through a variety of musical styles from metal to jazz up to hip hop.

Various private teachers recommended that he go to The Drummers Focus Munich, after which he studied Jazz Drums in Nuremberg. After a stay in the United States studying at Drummers Collective, where he was a student of Kim Plainfield, Jim Chapin, Marko Djordjovic and Mike Clark, he returned to Nuremberg to complete his university studies. In the same year, he became the first drummer to win the "Bruno-Rother-Scholarship" at the University of Music in Nuremberg. At the same time, he began to play with the singer and guitarist Torsten Goods, with whom he played countless gigs between Nuremberg and Morocco and plays on many of his albums. As a sideman, he also began to play in the electro-downtempo project "Moodorama" with whom he completed numerous tours through Eastern Europe.

Since 2010, he is the co-leader of the organ fusion trio "Hammond Eggs", which tours regularly with guests like Randy Brecker or Bob Mintzer across Europe and has already released several albums.

In 2007, Christoph became a lecturer at the Berufs-Fachschule for Rock-Pop-Jazz in Nuremberg and since 2017 he is a lecturer at the University of Music Nuremberg.

Christoph has played live, on television and / or in the studio with: Sarah Connor, Baseballs, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Tony Lakatos, Marc Marshall, Sheila Jordan, Joan Faulkner, Chris de Burgh, Viviane de Farias, Bembers, Roberto Blanco, John Davis, Thilo Wolf, Peter Weniger, Lucilectric, Johannes Faber, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, Blackbird McKnight, Ireen Sheer, Tobias Weidinger, Joy Fleming, Moodorama, Julian Wasserfuhr, Jeff Cascaro and others....

In December 2018 Christoph played a European tour with Panzerballet's "X-mas-Death-Jazz-Project".

He is currently playing the musical "Catch me if you can" at the Nuremberg Opera House as Principal, and will be on tour with Panzerballet in the summer of 2019 at various festivals.
