FELIX DEHMEL

Felix Dehmel is a drummer and musician, born on July 5, 1993 in Hamburg, Germany. He started his musical career at the age of only five and has since had several teachers to assist him.

It soon became clear that the drums were more than just a hobby for him and he was able to participate in various projects in his hometown of Hamburg at a very young age and gain a wealth of experience as a musician.

So he decided to make music his profession and moved to New York City in 2012 to study drums. He attended "The Collective School of Music", better known as "Drummer's Collective," where he studied with teachers such as Kim Plainfield, Jason Gianni, Ian Froman, Peter Retzlaff, Frank Katz, Tobias Ralph, Mark Guiliana, Eric Harland, Phil Maturano , Dan Weiss and many more

His studies included all current, modern music styles, from Jazz to Rock, Afro Cuban, Brazilian to Electronic Music, African Music, Pop and Funk. During his time in New York City, Felix worked in many projects and bands of all kinds, ranging from jazz to rock to electronic music, worked on studio production and played at countless appearances at festivals, bars or in clubs. Felix has also been a highly motivated drum teacher since he was 16, with teaching experience in both Hamburg and New York City. Felix completed his training at "The Collective School of Music" in June 2014 with the highest marks and has since worked in Germany as a freelance musician and drum teacher.
