NINA SIVOSOVA

"As a teenager, I've been passionate about rock music for a long time, listening to all the classic rock bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Jethro Tull, Yes ... and all the bands of this wonderful era through the Rock meets Classic I was also very happy to play Persona Grata in the Slovak prog-rock band, which gave me the impetus to learn saxophone, and this instrument became my new passion and opened many doors for me. Classical music is still my mainstay, because it expresses all the emotions, so of course it is irreplaceable.I like a wide range of music styles, the most important thing for me is to be connected to the music that is, they have a great power, energy and groove but above all they should touch my heart. "

"My name is Nina Sivosova and I was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. My mother is a pianist, so I have always been surrounded by music since my early childhood, which has created my deep relationship to music and has become part of my personality. I went to high school to become a Specialist at the Conservatory, and was honored by the Boulder International Young Artists Festival in Colorado, USA, in 2001 and 2002. I was then invited to play a small tour in San Francisco, California representing the Slovak culture In 2001, I was the European leader in the project "The Young Musicians of Europe" I was a member of a woodwind quintet and a flute-cello-piano-trio through Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We founded "duo nu: ovo" and focus mainly on contemporary music for flute and harp.

In 2010 I got the great offer to become a member of the Bohemian Symphonic Orchestra Prague on the Rock Meets Classic Tour.
